join us for a Volunteer EventJoin your neighbors to help restore Lewis Park as it once was: a beautiful natural area filled with native plants and trees. Volunteers learn about native plants and wildlife, help the environment, and make our community a better, more attractive, and safer place to live and play. Come meet your neighbors, enjoy the native habitat, the views and the shade in the summer!
Be a part of community pride by volunteering in the restoration of your own neighborhood urban forest. At Lewis Park you can enjoy beautiful views while helping to be a part of saving Seattle's Urban Forests. Check out the Green Seattle Partnership page for the most up-to-date volunteer event schedule as well as to register online. Most volunteer events begin at 10am and wrap up at 1pm but stay for as little or as long as you're able. Bus routes 36 and 60 serve Lewis Park and free street parking is available along Sturgus Ave S as well. Convenient bicycle access is provided by the Mountain to Sound Trail I-90 Trail. Closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants are recommended. Gloves, tools, water and light snacks provided. Questions? Contact lewisparkseattle@gmail.com for more information. |
